Fenerbahce Brazilian player Diego Ribas said that his problem with the club wasn't about not being paid, but was about not getting playing time, according to Turkish daily newspaper Bugun.
According to Bugun, the Brazilian player discussed the incident which took place last month between himself and the club. Diego states that the problem was about him not getting enough playing time at the club and money is not an issue for him.
Diego, according to the paper, had the following conversation with a close contact of his:
"No one talked to me when I wasn't playing. For me the priority is to play, not make money. If I leave the team now, it will be hard to find another club. It wasn't only high transfer offers from Qatar, I also recieved some offers from England but my first choice was Fenerbahce because its a European team. I came to be successful here.
I also wondered why I didnt play. I wanted to find the reason but wasn't able to. During this time there were some financial problems. When it came back to back, I had some doubts in my mind. Eventually, Aziz Yildirim talked to me and we solved the problem. I am playing now. The technical team shows trust in me now. I am going to forget the past and focus on my future at the club. I want to be part of Fenerbahçe's history."
