According to Turkish daily newspaper Hurriyet, Fenerbahce head coach spoke with the club players stating that Fenerbahce will become champions and Galatasaray will lose points during the last two games. Speech given by Kartal is as follows:
Ismail Kartal started his talk with analysing the last few games and referees performances:
"I don't like to talk about mistakes done by referees. However, looking Back I can say we lost many points because of referees. Everyone sees what is happening. It became clear what kind of viewpoints referees have right now. Despite of being stoned and attacked in the past few weeks we are still among the two teams in the title race. I hope that in the last two weeks the community will act towards us with knowledge of that."
Kartal has carried on analysing Galatasaray and Besiktas derby game
"Rules of derby will also take place this Sunday. Besiktas is more calm psychologically, while Galatasaray will be more stressed. There are no favourites in derbies. There is chance for Besiktas to win. If they win we will have an advantage. There is a high chance for Galatasaray to lose."
Ismail Kartal carried on:
"If Galatasaray lose points in the derby, the Rizespor game for them would also be hard. Rize have a very good head coach (Hikmet Karaman) and have a good squad. I believe Galatasaray will lose points during the last two games. If we won't lose points, we will be champions. Just lets get 6 points and wait to see what will happen."
Fenerbahce will play against Istanbul Buyuksehir Spor (I.B.B.) on 25th May at 20:00 away during penultimate week of this season's Super League. Galatasaray late the leader with 73 points, while Fenerbahce have 70 points. The Besiktas-Galatasaray game will take place on the 24th May at 20:00 in Turk Telekom Arena.
