Fenerbahce opened the scoring through Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike, who had also scored a goal earlier in the match only to be cancelled due to offside.
Minutes after Fenerbahce's goal, Bursaspor's midfielder Fernando Belluschi equalized the score for the hosts. It went down to the 37th minute when Fenerbahce defender Bruno Alves scored a stunning freekick to put Fenerbahce in an advantageous position.
The second leg will be played on the 14th of May; the other semifinal draw is between Galatasaray and Sivasspor and the first leg will take place tomorrow.
