Former Romanian FA president Mircea Sandu was quoted by Turkish news website Sporx that legendary Romanian coach Lucescu will be ending his 11-year tenure at Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk to join Fenerbahçe.
"Fenerbahce wants Lucescu. During the summer he will probably be done with Shakhtar and go to Fener", Sandu was quoted saying.
Further rumors were sprung by Romanian footballer Daniel Pancu who has close ties with both Lucescu and Chiriches told Romanian outlet Sport.ro that both Lucescu will be joining Fenerbahçe in the Summer with defender Vlad Chiriches set to follow him to Istanbul.
Vlad Chiriches plays in the CB spot for English outfit Tottenham Hotspur however he has fell out of favour with current coach Mauricio Pochettino.
