Gonul, Emre & Topal Back in Turkey

Fenerbahce Turkish international players Gokhan Gonul, Emre and Mehmet Topal have all reported back to Istanbul while Raul Meireles and Dirk Kuyt both undergone MRI scans to evaluate their injuries...

Fatih Terim (Turkish national team coach) told Gokhan Gonul and Mehmet Topal that they won't play in the Luxembourg match which will see new younger players take part in with Emre Belozoglu flirting the idea of retirement from international football after being left out from the Netherlands match.

Remaining Fenerbahce players Caner Erkin, Mert Gunok and Alper Potuk all stayed with the Turkish national team camp and will all participate in the Luxembourg match.

On the other hand injured players Raul Meireles and Dirk Kuyt who got injured during the derby match with Besiktas 10 days ago returned from England after they attended Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard's testimonial match.

Both Meireles and Kuyt had MRI scans and it was found out that Meireles will likely miss this weekend's match with Caykur Rizespor while Dirk Kuyt might still be able to play pending another checkup to be made before the match.

Additionally Nigerian player Emmanuel Emenike also reported back to Istanbul and is taking part again in the team's training sessions.
