Brazilian playmaker Alex de Souza netted a brace and provided an assist as he led the Palmeiras class of 1999 squad (that he won the league with) to a 5-3 win over "Alex's friends", a team that had Fenerbahce legends such as Rustu Recber and Tuncay Sanli play for.
Tuncay himself was the talk of the town as he also scored a brace including a beautiful backheel; to the eruption of the stadiums' fans' cheers.
Other Fenerbahce legends such as Zico, Semih Senturk, Mehmet Aurelio and Meteja Kezman all took part in the match.
The referee also did a nice gesture as he wrote Alex's name on the pitch using the vanishing spray:
