With the possible departure of both Emmanuel Emenike and Pierre Webo Fenerbahce will be looking to bolster their attacking options and credible Turkish media outlets such as Sabah, Milliyet, Sporx and Star are reporting that Fenerbahce are considering a move to either Teo Gutierrez or Alexander Meier.
Players Profiles and Stats:
Teofilo Gutierrez: The 29-year old striker/second-striker played for Trabzonspor for less than a year after he joined them in January 2010 for only $3 million only to leave them a year later after he felt homesick and moved back to South America.
Gutierrez didn't have a positive record with Trabzonspor where he only scored 8 goals in 23 league matches however over the past few years he has solidified himself as a starter for the Colombian national football teams alongside the likes of Falcao and James Rodriguez and he has a cult-like figure among Colombian fans. "Teo" currently plays for Argentine giants River Plate and has scored 17 goals in 38 matches in the domestic league.
Alexander Meier: The 31-year old German forward might not be the ideal option for Fenerbahce due to his age however his goalscoring record this season is too good to ignore.
Meier plays for Eintracht Frankfurt, the team which he joined a decade ago where he scored a total of 92 goals in 282 matches; however the impressive aspect of his career is that so far this season, Meier has scored a total of 13 goals in 14 matches for the mid-table German team and is currently the number one goalscorer of the Bundesliga ahead of the likes of Immobile, Lewandowski, Muller and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
