It has been reported that Emre addressed Trabzonspor player Didier Zokora with a racist slur back in April 2012 during a heated match and now the court sentenced the 33-year old midfielder to a two and half month prison stint.
It is interesting to see however that neither Zokora or his teammates, who deliberately tried to injure Emre in the following match received any kind of suspension or jail time from the TFF or the Turkish judiciary system.
