The ambitous and financially well equipped second division outfit managed by Turkish coach Fuat Capa signed Fenerbahce veteran Egemen Korkmaz on a 2-year contract.
Korkmaz was considered as one of the best defenders in the Turkish league last season and following his dismissal from Fenerbahce it was rumored that he received offers from several European and Turkish clubs including Galatasaray, Besiktas, Bursaspor, Trabzonspor, Antalyaspor and Basaksehir.
His move to FC Wil came as a surprise but the Swiss outfit then shocked the Turkish football community again as they captured the signing of former Brazil, Arsenal and Fenerbahce wing-back Andre Santos as well as formed Fenerbahce striker Marcio Nobre.
