The 53-year old head coach who worked as an assistant under several Fenerbahçe coaches like Joachim Low, Ersun Yanal and Aykut Kocaman has reportedly handed his resignation to the team.
Kartal failed to lead Fenerbahçe to triumph this season finishing second in the league and reaching the semifinals of the cup; it is expected that this weekends match with Kasimpasa will be his last for now.
