Fenerbahçe have issued an official statement regarding the shooting incident that took place in Trabzon following the team's 5-1 win over Rizespor...
A statement on the club's official website on Sunday said: "We consider that as long as this attack is not solved in a way that satisfies Fenerbahce and public opinion, a suspension of the championship is inevitable.
"Blood ran and football was silenced. Finding and punishing the culprits is of vital importance for Fenerbahce."
On the other hand, Dutch star Dirk Kuyt's frustration was clear as he was quoted saying: "I had tear in my eyes, I have children and this is too much. It will be hard to continue.", possibly hinting at a departure from the team in the Summer.
