Additionally on their official website, Manchester City discussed the rumors which are being sparked by the Daily Mail and Express saying:
"It seems likely the Blues have completed their transfer business for this season, but there are still one or two rumours in this morning’s Press coverage, most notably involving Edin Dzeko.
Would the Blues really sell a striker at this late stage without a replacement being lined up?
Manuel Pellegrini has always stated he wants four top strikers at the Club and Wilfried Bony has filled a gap left by Alvaro Negredo’s departure in the last window – but there is speculation today that Fenerbahce will move for Dzeko.
The Express and the Daily Mail both carry the story – the Express writing: “The Bosnian has struggled this season at the Etihad, scoring just four times in all competitions.
“And the 28-year-old may have fallen further down the pecking order following the arrival of £28million-man Wilfried Bony.
“Dzeko managed an impressive 26 goals in the last campaign and was pivotal to City's Premier League success.
“But he has failed to make his mark this time around, playing second fiddle to Stevan Jovetic and Sergio Aguero. Fenerbahce may be willing to offer Dzeko a fresh start, with a £12million fee being rumoured.
The Mail add: “Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildrim is said to be an admirer of the striker and may be willing to stump up the cash.” "
