A research conducted by football-observatory.com shows that Fenerbahce has the second oldest squad in Europe.
The research studied 500 European teams that play in their countries' top leagues and Fenerbahce came in second with an average age of 29.3.
This is an indicator that the rumored "youth revolution" that Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim will be working on in January is bound to happen soon with possibly more than 10 Fenerbahce players over the age of 30 departing (during January and next summer) and younger players coming in including a return of Miroslav Stoch.
Fenerbahce is also joined in the top 10 by teams like Juventus and Manchester City who came in at a joint 7th with an average age of 28.8.
Additionally, the Turkish league has the 5th oldest average age of squads in Europe. Italy, Russia, Cyprus and England are the top four respectively.
