Fenerbahçe Whitewashes Gaziantepspor 3-0

Fenerbahce cruised past Gaziantepspor with a 3-0 win...

Fenerbahçe defeated Gaziantepspor 3-0 thanks to a goal from Simon Kjær and a brace from Robin van Persie who assisted Simon's goal.

Fenerbahçe's first goal came after Simon Kjær headed home a lob pass from RVP who in turn scored a magnificent goal after some skills inside the penalty box only to double his goal tally through a header.

Fenerbahçe now sit second in the table with 70 points, only three points behind leaders Besiktas. With today's result, Fenerbahçe mathematically booked themselves the second place at least.

Fenerbahçe will next host Konyaspor in the second leg of the Turkish Cup semis where they enter as favourites thanks to the comfortable 3-0 away win the club recorded in Konya last week. After that the Yellow Canaries travel to Istanbul neighbours Başakşehir in the league captained by former Fenerbahçe player and veteran Emre Belozoglu.
