The 34-year old former Turkish international was shown interest by former Fenerbahçe coach and current Konyaspor coach Aykut Kocaman and it was reported that Kocaman offered a contract to Selcuk whose contract expired yesterday (June 1st).
Reports are claiming that new Fenerbahçe sporting director Guiliano Terraneo is planing a huge storm in the team that will see a lot of players leave and Selcuk might have been the first victim.
Selcuk has been with Fenerbahçe since 2003 and is the vice captain of the team. He is a former Turkish international having represented Turkey 23 times and is currently on a wage of €950,000 per season.
No official word has been announced yet from Selcuk, Fenerbahçe or Konyaspor.
