Saffet Susic: Fenerbahce Did Not Contact Me

Bosnia & Herzegovina head coach Safet Susic said that Fenerbahce did not contact him and he doesn't think he will be next head coach of the club.
Safet Susic stated that following news in media linking him with Fenerbahçe and said he is aware about rumours of him becoming new Fenerbahce head coach but adds that he didnt recieve any offer.

Susic adds that following the appointment of Giuliano Terraneo as the club's new sports director, he is expecting the new coach of the club to be Italian. Susic says that sports director and head coach are working together and therefore it is a usual case that both are from the same country.

There are various names circulating in the media regarding the name of the new head coach of Fenerbahce. Among them the following are from Italy: Stefano Di Matteo, Carlo Ancelotti, Luciano Spaletti and Fabio Capello.

Safet Susic managed several Turkish teams in his career and is close to Turkish football. Susic has managed the following teams in Turkey: Istanbulspor (1996-98), Konyaspor (2004-05), Ankaragucu (2005-06), Caykur Rizespor (2006 and 2008) and Ankaraspor (2008-09).
