Fenerbahce forward Dirk Kuyt has announced his departure from Fenerbahce to former club Feyenoord...
Feyenoord announced on their official club website that the 34-year old Dutch star signed a one-year contract with his previous club.
Kuyt also commented on his departure saying: "It is with great upset that I announce my departure from Fenerbahce. I have been away from my home country for 9 years and I wish to end my footballing career there as I would like to play for Feyenoord. I thank Fenerbahce for everything as I have won every possible trophy in Turkey with them. Also for being apart of the team that made the Europa League semi finals. I will forever be a Fenerbahce fan"
Kuyt has previously played for Feyenoord, who are currently third in the Dutch league, from 2003-2006 and he will be joining former Fenerbahce and current Turkish international forward Colin-Kazim Richards there.
Mr. Duracell, as Kuyt is nicknamed by Fenerbahce fans due to his outstanding work-rate joined Fenerbahce in 2012 and scored 35 goals in 120 official matches with his most recent goal against Galatasaray last month.
We thank Dirk Kuyt for all he did for Fenerbahce and wish him all the best in his future.
