According to Vatan, in two different occassions Volkan and Emre were unhappy at the attitude provided by their fellow players during training to the Turkish Cup semi-final 1st leg game against Bursaspor.
In one of the incident, Volkan have seen some unserious behaviour by his team mate Emmanuel Emenike, to which Volkan responded by "Guys, I want some seriousness. No need for loose behaviour".
After this incident, Emenike had approached to Volkan saying "Did you say it to me?", to which Volkan replied that it was for everybody in the team.
There were also reports that Emre Belozoglu had tough talk about players being relaxed during 28th week game against Eskisehirspor. Club captain had following conversation with his team-mates.
"Without any point difference everyone is relaxing like we are arleady champions. Why there is such calmness in club? Where is that team which puts pressure to opponents whole game? Following the game against Bursaspor everyone in football world said "Job is done". We had believed those words.
In game against Bursaspor we had run, fought during the game and in return we got 3 points. But this time we played we werent in game. Their (media) said for us "Fixture is easy, derbies are over". That is true, but without playing games are not won. We had experienced this once again in hard way. We should get serious once more. We should put hats to the table and criticise ourselves. Lets agree we are lucky to get 1 point with this performance".
As the Turkish Super League reaches to last 6 weeks, we are having exciting conclusion to this season league. 28th week was started with Fenerbahce as leaders to the league with 2 point deficient from Besiktas and Galatasaray but following results over weekend club had fallen to 3rd place. With 6 games left in the league, Besiktas is leader with goal difference with 61 points, 2nd placed Galatasaray also with 61 points and Fenerbahce 3rd with 60 points.
Fenerbahce will play against last placed Balikesirspor on 2nd May at 19:00 TSI for 29th week of Super League at home.
