Genclerbirligi have always been one of the toughest teams Fenerbahce faced, both at home and away, and in a bid to overtake rivals Galatasaray and Besiktas in the league Fenerbahce find themselves in a must win situation later on tonight. Last time Fenerbahce took on the Ankara outfit was during the 7th week of the season where Fenerbahce won 2-1.
Fenerbahce now control their fate in the league again after Galatasaray tied 2-2 with Basaksehir Saturday night. Galatasaray are still first with 52 points only one point ahead of Besiktas and two points ahead of Fenerbahce who still have a match to play each.
Fenerbahce traveled to Ankara with a full squad as injured players Mehmet Topal and Gokhan Gonul were deemed fit to play by the club's doctors. Egemen Korkmaz and Raul Meireles aren't expected to take part in today's match since a yellow card for them would mean that they would miss next week's crucial match against Besiktas.
