The 33-year old experienced midfielder has been more than impressive in the past few matches where he stepped up to fill in the shoes of the injured Emre Belozoglu.
The former Turkish international exceeded expectations by guiding Fenerbahce to an important win against Karabukspor last month where he opened the scoring in a match that ended 2-1 for Fenerbahce.
Sahin's contract is set to expire in June of this year but some Turkish media outlets like Haber7 and Milliyet among others referenced Fenerbahce coach Ismail Kartal as saying that Selcuk will be offered a new one-year contract.
