Fenerbahce to Host Akhisar Tonight

Turkish champions Fenerbahce will host midtable outfit Akhisar Belediyespor tonight...

Last time Fenerbahce played Akhisar, Fenerbahce lost 2-0 back in the beginning of the season thanks to two goals from Akhisar's striker Theofanis Gekas.

Since then however, Feneberhace have lost only one league match winning 14 and drawing 4 matches.

Fenerbahce will be without the services of injured players Bekir Irtegun and Hasan Ali Kaldirim, and suspended player Volkan Demirel who is serving his third match (out of a four match suspension). Alper Potuk and Gokhan Gonul will undergo last minute checkups to see if they can participate in the match as they picked minor injuries during the week.

Fenerbahce are now third in the league with 46 points, one point behind second placed Besiktas and two points behind leaders Galatasaray who both already played their matches of this week. A win will put back Fenerbahce at first. Akhisar on the other hand will wish to stop their downfall as they now sit in the 14th spot with 22 points, just four points off the relegation zone.

The match will kickoff at 20:00 (Turkish timing), 02:00 (Australia) and 11:00 AM (East Coast).

Expected 11:
Fenerbahce (4-2-3-1): Mert - Topuz (Gokhan), Bruno Alves, Egemen Korkmaz, Caner Erkin - Mehmet Topal, Emre - Kuyt, Diego, Sow - Emenike
Akhisar: Oğuz, Tolga, Douglao, İsmail, Kadir, Custodio, Pekin, Bruno, Bilal, Güray, Gekas
