Sources close to the manager have confirmed to credible Turkish TV station NTVSpor that the former Fenerbahce coach, who took over Trabzonspor this season is hoping to sign his former player Mert Gunok in January.
Trabzonspor's number one goalkeeper Onur Kivrak will be missing the remainder of the season with a torn ACL and Trabzonspor's back-up goalie Fatih Ozturk hasn't been up to the needed standards.
The report also claims that in case Ersun Yanal fails to sign Mert Gunok in January he is considering a move for Fenerbahce's reserve goalie Ertugrul Taskiran who is on-loan at Sivasspor and Bursaspor's Harun Tekin.
