10-Man Fener Defeats Konya 2-1

Fenerbahce defeated their visitors Torku Konyaspor 2-1 in a competitive night in Istanbul...

The Yellow Canaries' opened the scoring through the on-form Pierre Webo in the 27th minute only for Konyaspor to equalize in the 43rd minute through a Dimitar Rangelov penalty.

In the 45th minute Fenerbahce's Bekir Irtegun received a seemingly undeserved red card but Fenerbahce still managed to beat Konyaspor 2-1 thanks to a 50th minute goal from Senegalese international striker Moussa Sow.

Now Fenerbahce sit in the 4th spot in the league with ten points, which is the same amount of points that the top three (Mersin I.Y., Akhisar and Galatasaray) have, with Akhisar still having one match left.

Fenerbahce will be taking on Galatasaray on the 18th of October in the next round of the Super Lig following the international break.
