Fenerbahce took the lead early on in the 8th minute but later in the 34th minute Dominick Kumbela equalized the score for Karabukspor. Fenerbahce took the lead later in the 53rd mintue thanks to Moussa Sow only to be shocked by a Michal Kadlec own goal in the 67th minute.
However Fenerbahce were able to come out on top thanks to a late strike in the 81st minute through Cameroonian international striker Pierre Webo.
Emre and Gohan Gonul received one yellow card each.
Fenerbahce now sit second in the league with three points from their first match; behind first placed Galatasaray on goal difference.
Fenerbahce will take on Trabzonspor following the international break in two weeks in the second round of the Super Lig.
