Recent reports from several Turkish media outlets such as ajansspor, Aksam and Star Gazete, Liverpool sent Fenerbahce a request to have a friendly with the Turkish champions on the 12th of August.
If this invitation does indeed materialise then Fenerbahce's Raul Meireles and Dirk Kuyt will be facing their former team as the pair previously played for Liverpool as teammates back in the 2010-11 season.
