Fanatik are claiming that Fenerbahce coach Ersun Yanal who recently signed extended his contract with the club informed FB president Aziz Yildirim that he wants Turkish midfielder Mehmet Ekici in his team.
The 24-year old Turkish international who previously represented Germany in youth levels played only 12 matches (scoring one goal) for Werder Bremen this season as he missed most of the 2013-14 campaign with injury; and Fenerbahce are expected to make a move for him soon.
Fenerbahce will have no problem in matching Ekici's yearly wages of 1.8 million euros; and his transfer fee is projected to be in the region of 4 million euros.
