The 33-year old veteran opened Fenerbahce's newest shop (Fenerium) in Rotterdam on the 8th of April in the presence of several Fenerbahce fans and journalists.
Upon being asked about his future at Fenerbahce and a possible return to local city team Feyenoord Dirk Kuyt said: "I would like to wear the Feyenoord jersey again one day but now I am committed to Fenerbahce".
When asked about the fans in Turkey in comparison to their Dutch counterparts Kuyt added: "I'm quiet used to [living in] Turkey now, the fans in the Netherlands are also as fanatical as those in Turkey".
